Turkey

What is the deal with turkey? Why is this bird so cheap to buy? Turkey is anutritiousand healthy food source and the birds are beautiful. I don’t know why these things are but for some reason the only time that most of us eat turkey is when it’s Thanksgiving. Why is that? Its not like turkeys are not around the rest of the year. Or could it be that every year we eat all of the turkeys, and there is none left for us to eat until the next year. I know that is not the case, so I decided to check it out.

I love to eat turkey. There is noting that I don’t like about it except for the fact that it takes so long for it to cook. Now we cook chicken and roasts all the time, and they take quite a while for them to cook all the way through. Another thing is that you would think that people would cook turkeys because they are usually so cheap. Not only are these birds inexpensivethey are huge. A single bird can easily feed eight or more people with plenty of leftovers. Last year we had a giant twenty pounder, now that’s a big bird. We had fourteen people over for dinner and had plenty of leftovers. I almost like the leftovers better than the turkey dinner. I love to make cold turkey sandwiches. I could eat those things for a long time. Cooking a turkey isn’t even that hard. All you really need to do is rub some seasoning on it and put in the oven for the rest of the day. Put it in the oven in the morning, by the time dinner is ready you will have a feast waiting for you that will make you and the whole family thinking that it must be some kind of special occasion.
