Autumn Weddings and How to Stay Warm

Pashminas are really handy for all kinds of situations as they’re easy to place in your handbag if it gets too warm. The pashmina wool acts as a great insulator, so rather than wearing a big jacket on a cool spring or summer evening, a pashmina will suffice as a convenient overgarment.

Pashmina shawls are now really in vogue as a fashion accessory/apparel for bridesmaids. The last couple of summers in Britain have been pretty awful, so maybe this has advanced this new fashion. Gold pashminas as well as cream an white are popular selections for wedding parties, and look great if all the maids of honor have the same colour. Even a thin, silk scarf makes a wonderful fashion accessory for the wedding party.

With a larger shawl, it can also turn into a useful blanket for long trips. And of course, a shawl can transform into a scarf for winter days.

There tends to be two types of shawl – the the 70% pashmina / 30% silk pashmina, and the 100% pure pashmina variety. The non-pure pashmina shawl you will find at lower cost than the 100% pashmina wool counterpart, but it will be less warm. It’s your choice as to how you want to wear your pashmina. Is it only for fashion purposes, or also apparel keep you warm too? I strongly recommend 100% pashmina shawls to keep you warm.
