Rihanna Reveals that Her Last Album Was a Release for Her and a Place to Vent Her Feelings
The crooner was showing off some dance moves when the seam at the side of her black dress gave way – leaving a two-inch tear – as she sang new single Wear My Kiss with bandmates Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen at the Fight Cervical Cancer In Style concert. The star-rich music and fashion show at London’s Koko, which also saw demonstrations by Brit nominees La Roux and Pixie Lott, was held by Jo’s Trust to highlight concern about cervical cancer among women. Rihanna enjoyed making her most recent album ‘Rated R’, as she got to “vent” her feelings. After a rollercoaster year in 2009 – in which the RB star split from ex-boyfriend Chris Brown after he attacked her – Ri got a lot off her chest when making her 4th record. “Making this album was a heap of fun I need to say, it was good for me.” Rihanna told Australia’s Daily Telegram . “The vocal performances definitely were influenced by the emotion, the sensation.
“I was not just singing lines. I was singing each word and every word meant something as it was my story. It is a lot more private, a load more real… I was venting.” In other reports, Rihanna’s rumoured husband Matt Kemp has denied they’re dating. Rihanna was “venting” as she recorded ‘Rated R’.
