It Really Has Here – Verizon FIOS: FiOS in Philadelphia
Verizon’s desire to obtain a Philadelphia FiOS through the end of 2008 has been bogged down in town committee meetings plus a play by a cable firm to get mobilized. The Firm, which owns a small section of Philadelphia’s cable television franchise, is lobbying for an equity partnership with Verizon. It currently services thousands of clients, mostly in Philadelphia Housing Authority units. A metropolis councilman reviewing the Verizon proposal is concerned they might shed customers as PHA builds extra single spouse and children houses, and he has questions about outside minority contractors included within the Verizon installation.
