Alex Crisses Works with NYC Institution "Minds Matter" to Commit Aid to New York Underprivileged High School Students in Various Boroughs
Alex Crisses, with a strong academic background in Economics, now works to assist customers through his role at Insight Venture Partners. He and his colleagues there center on helping entrepreneurial companies by helping them better use their resources. When not working, Alex Crisses devotes time to charities, including “Minds Matter”, which helps disadvantaged high school students. Minds Matter’s goal is to make a difference in students’ lives and to be a force for positive change.
When not devoting his energies to his professional responsibilities in the corporate world, Alex Crisses Insight Venture Partners works to promote the aims of a unique organization. This is the not-for-profit Minds Matter foundation. This entity’s mission is to transform the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families. Their focus is helping these students prepare for college success and helping them reach their ambitions.
Alex Crisses Insight Venture Partners commitment is to helping advance the programs that Minds Matter promotes. Their programs are intensive, which means they require financial resources to operate successfully. Alex Crisses has worked to ensure these financial resources are available for the foundation to continue their work. He is a past Director of Mind Matter’s fundraising committee. In addition, he has worked as an Executive Committee member for them.
Working with Minds Matter, Alex Crisses and others are furthering the organization’s numerous goals. One short-term goal is to revitalize the alumni program to ensure that Minds Matter students not only enroll in college, but also successfully complete their undergraduate studies. One of Minds Matter’s long-term goals is assuring that every Minds Matter student receives the funding necessary to attend the college of his/her choice.
Alex Crisses of IVP continues to center on infrastructure software and Internet investments to contribute to clientele’ strategic plans for growth. He also focuses on fundraising and other activities that advance the goals of Mindsmatter.org, and other charities. With his “away from work” time devoted to these causes, he works to contribute effectively to these charitable organizations’ overall goals of providing notable support to all who need it.
