It is also worth noting that the Kettleworks factory was initially a brass foundry that took up a different course and started manufacturing tea sets, lamps etc. </p>
<p>The comprehensive plan worth &#163;160 million has been welcomed by the commercial players as well as the residents of Birmingham. Though it might take around four to five years to complete, the first phase will be completed by 2010 autumn. </p>
<p>The plan includes building of two hotels with as many as 250 bedrooms, and a separate space for a bar and a restaurant. It also includes a number of residential units and around 323 parking spaces, in addition to creation of low cost BREEAM certified office space spanning an area of 236,000 square feet. </p>
