Diabetes is a condition where the body, or to be precise the pancreas, loses its ability to create insulin, the chemical necessary to regulate blood sugar levels. So how did we get such a disease? A known fact about diabetes is that it can be hereditary, especially if a family member has a history of diabetes. US studies have shown that diabetes can also develop when a mother gives birth to a child who weighs more than 9 pounds.

There are two types of diabetes: The Type 1 diabetes inflicts mostly children when the pancreas completely loses its ability to secrete insulin. Common diabetic symptoms include excessive thirst, frequent urination and continued weight loss despite of excessive hunger. They begin to be insulin dependent and its dire results may also include blindness and amputation of certain limbs in the body.

Type Two diabetes is far more common than Type One. Its symptoms may include those of Type One, but its leading concern is that nearly half of diabetics may not be able to have such symptoms and the cause of hereditary diabetes to children. They are often considered as non-insulin dependents, in which an excessive secretion of insulin passes through the bloodstream, causing the body to develop a high resistance to the chemical. The end result would be the high blood glucose content, which can be treated with regular exercise and a high protein diet of starch and carbohydrates.

Sadly, there is no absolute cure for diabetes of any type. The only recommendation from doctors is to prolong life, making sure that they would still continue to live normally. In the US alone, nearly 200,000 deaths per year has been reported due to diabetes.

In order to cope with diabetes, it is important to maintain their weight and exercise regularly. But I will tell you that these Internet Marketers pray upon people like you and you are their sucker born every minute and they really want to sell you something. Don’t you think that if they really had something decent to sell they would not have to hype you with all these guarantees, promises or testimonials? I mean come on, think about it? Dah? Phishing is a relatively new form of online fraud that focuses on fooling the victim into providing sensitive financial or personal information to a bogus website that bears a significant resemblance to a tried and true online brand. Typically, the victim provides information into a form on the imposter site, which then relays the information to the fraudster.

Someone asked me the other day, ‘Emily, what oil are you most excited about?’ Certainly a thought provoking question; one that I wouldn’t even be able to answer ordinarily. At the risk of sounding like an info-mercial, I’m going to tell you that I am excited about Raspberry Seed Oil.

Oilseeds are processed in huge quantities in commercial processing facilities with significant downtime for cleaning between different kinds of seeds. Because these tiny seeds yield very little oil by commercial standards for oilseeds and need to be processed carefully to preserve their identity, they are only being processed on the very small scale. At this time, manufacturers are making a small profit from something that was once waste material. Some initial laboratory analysis is available and much is pending. I think that this oil will increase in price when the potential for profit is proven.

This oil is truly a nutraceutical. The tiny seeds of Raspberries are from organically grown plants and are cold pressed. The relatively small amount of oil produced is full of good stuff for your skin. This is an oil that I would take as a supplement. I am actually making the yummiest salads using Red Raspberry Seed Oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, sea salt and a drop or two of essential oil of a culinary herb such as Oregano or Basil. It is 83% essential fatty acids. The reason is that you will most likly attract more beetles to your landscape than you destroy. If you are trap minded the best idea is to give them away.

Yes, It is better to give than to receive. This old motto is even good for Japanese beetles. Japanese Beetles can be controlled with traps that lore the beetle with food and sex attractants. These are generally a bag trap that one hangs 4-5 feet off the ground. It is never a good idea to place them near your plants that they will eat. So I simply suggest give them to your neighbor at Christmas!!! If you want, hang the trap on open space area trees near your property. Thus the beetles will be dirtected away from your property.

What we do on the farm is we hang the trap on branches of a tree that overhangs our pond and open up the bottom. The little critters fall into the pound and our fish clean them up. What a way to recycle and not have to empty the traps.
